PORTABLE TURBIDITY METER:

The newly redesigned 2020e combines an advanced microprocessor with a patent-pending optical chamber resulting in higher accuracy and a wider range.
The multi-detector optical configuration assures long term stability and minimizes stray light and color interferences. All readings are determined by the process of signal averaging over a 5 second period. This minimizes fluctuations in readings attributed to large particles and results in rapid, highly repeatable measurements. Ideally suited for both low-level drinking water applications as well as monitoring high turbidity in the field.

2020e version meets USEPA design criteria as specified by USEPA method 180.1.

Kits are supplied with 0, 1, and 10 NTU standard, sample bottle, four sample tubes, hard shelled carrying case, and an extra battery. AC power adapter is optional.

PORTABLE TURBIDITY METER:

Turbidity Sensor
Global Water's Turbidity Sensor is a highly accurate submersible instrument for in-situ environmental or process monitoring. Applications include: water quality testing and management, river monitoring, stream measurement, reservoir water quality testing, groundwater testing, water and wastewater treatment, and effluent and industrial control. In accordance with USEPA Method 180.1 for turbidity measurement, the Turbidity Sensor is a 90 degree scatter nephelometer. The sensor directs a focused beam into the monitored water. The light beam reflects off particles in the water, and the resultant light intensity is measured by a photodetector positioned at 90 degrees to the light beam. The detected light intensity is directly proportional to the turbidity of the water. The turbidity sensor utilizes a second light detector to correct for light intensity variations, color changes, and minor lens fouling.

Turbidity Meter
The Global Water Turbidity Meter combines the turbidity sensor (described above) with a handheld meter that has a six digit LED screen, 4-button control panel, and an internal 9V battery. The handheld portable water meter can be used for environmental or process sites that do not require permanent monitoring. The meter will display readings directly in either nephelometric turbidity units (NTU) or parts per million (PPM). The meter also includes an automatic shutoff feature to conserve battery power. TURBIDITY TUBE:

Accurately measures water clarity. Features a clear polycarbonate tube with numeric centimeter scale on the side and a 4.5 cm standard secchi disc design in the bottom of tube. Secchi disc is screwed to a rubber stopper, which can be removed for easy cleaning. Drain hose with finger crimp allows sample to be drawn off until secchi pattern is visible. 60 cm in length.

SECCHI DISKS:

Used to determine turbidity or degree of visibility in natural waters. The 20 cm (8") diameter discs come with 3/4 lb lead weights. Calibrated line is 20 meters in length.

BRAIDED LINE & WEIGHT:

This 20 meter, braided, stretch-resistant line has a brass spring clip for easy attachment to samplers, secchi disks, plankton nets or sounding leads. The line wraps conveniently around an ethafoam block, which prevents accidental loss.

TURBIDITY STANDARDS:

Hach StablCal Stabilized Formazin Primary Standards: These are true formazin dilutions developed for use in any turbidimeter. Shelf life is guaranteed for two years from date of manufacture. Requires no special preparation, no dilution and no special glassware or handling. Available in 100 ml or 500 ml bottles. Sets are also available which include a range of NTU values. LaMOTTE TURBIDITY TEST KIT:

This visual comparison test kit is designed for use in shallow waters where secchi disc depth reading is not feasible. Readings are made by using a standard turbidity reagent to match the turbidity of a water sample. Measurements are expressed in Jackson Turbidity Units (JTU). Reads from 0-200 JTU in 5 JTU steps.

IMHOFF CONE:

Fully graduated cone made of styrene-acrylonitrile. It features a low density plug which makes it easy to withdraw sediment. Markings are incremented as follows: 0 to 1 ml by 0.1 ml, 1 to 10 ml by 0.5 ml, 10 to 40 ml by 1.0 ml, 40 to 100 ml by 2 ml, and markings at 250, 500, and 1000 ml.
